About Me
LIFE IS ITERATIVE
I have an AAS in Graphic Design from Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI and a BS in Interactive Media Design from Franklin University. With that formal foundation, much of what I have learned has been from experience on the job, during extensive professional development, and at conferences like Adobe Max, Photoshop World, and O’reilly Tools of Change. I love to learn new things, so will often tinker with new software and technology out of personal curiosity. In addition, I’ve been certified as a User Experience Professional from Texas Tech University.
Professionally, I started primarily in the print world and have been evolving my skillset to be more digital-centric ever since. I’ve worked in graphic design, done user interface and web design and also worked with audio, video, animation. In addition, I’ve facilitated low and high fidelity usability studies and served in various leadership and project management capacities.
My current role as a Technical College Graphic and Web Design Instructor challenges me in many ways including allowing me to refine my craft and forcing me to stay current in the field. Additionally, being the Program Chair has given me opportunities to be more involved in facilitating iterative initiatives to improve student experiences and the program. Both roles have given me the opportunity to share my passion for all things creative, become a better communicator, and ultimately has helped me to influence real generational change in families within the community and beyond.

I’d rather have a strong personal relationship with you and your company that to spread myself too thin. Get in touch and let’s see how we mesh!
